Musical instruments

Our Programs

Four ways we help kids discover, learn, and grow through music. Every program is hands-on, real-world, and built for young people.

01

Music Education

School programs & curriculum support

We partner with schools to bring music back into classrooms. Our curriculum support helps teachers deliver engaging music education, while our in-school programs give kids hands-on experience with instruments, theory, and performance. Whether it's a full semester course or an after-school workshop, we design programs that fit each school's needs and keep kids excited about learning.

Who It Serves

K-12 students in partner schools and after-school programs

How to Participate

Schools and districts can reach out to us at info@fms.life to discuss partnership opportunities.

02

Instrument Access

Putting instruments in kids' hands

A kid can't become a musician without an instrument. Our Instrument Access program provides guitars, keyboards, drums, and more to young people who dream of playing but can't afford the gear. We collect, refurbish, and distribute instruments directly to kids, and we make sure they have the support they need to actually learn to play.

Who It Serves

Kids ages 6-18 who lack access to musical instruments at home

How to Participate

Families can apply through our partner organizations or contact us directly. Instrument donations are always welcome.

03

Studio Training

Production, recording & songwriting

Music today isn't just about playing — it's about producing. Our Studio Training program gives young people real-world experience in professional recording studios. Kids learn music production, audio engineering, songwriting, and how to take a song from an idea in their head to a finished track. It's the kind of training that used to be available only to industry insiders.

Who It Serves

Teens and young adults interested in music production

How to Participate

Sessions run on a rolling basis. Contact us to learn about upcoming cohorts and availability.

04

Mentorship

Connecting kids with professional musicians

There's nothing like learning from someone who's done it. Our Mentorship program pairs young musicians with working professionals who guide them through the craft, the business, and the mindset of being a musician. Mentors share real experience — not textbook knowledge — and help kids see what's possible when they commit to their art.

Who It Serves

Young musicians ages 12-21 looking for guidance and growth

How to Participate

Apply to be matched with a mentor or volunteer as a mentor yourself. Email info@fms.life to get started.
